The Arm-in-Arm Fund

Together, we fund great work to prevent and mitigate

the effects of gun violence.

There is hope

Across South Carolina, there are groups - small hero organizations - that are doing difficult and amazing work to combat gun violence every day.

Where so many talk about the issue, these groups are digging in to offer crucial services to victims, creating awareness programs to ensure child safety, implementing violence intervention programs and even developing youth mentoring programs that are giving law enforcement hope for the first time in years (because they are reducing the number of deaths in multiple counties).

In other words, there's good reason to feel hopeful.

We created The Arm-in-Arm Fund to help groups like these, and to ensure that your donated dollars have the biggest possible impact.

Who we are

Confounded and heartbroken by the increasing numbers of lives lost and families impacted by gun violence in South Carolina, we (committed citizens with deep experience in gun violence prevention) created this fund, in partnership with the Coastal Community Foundation, to help.

This partially endowed fund supports organizations doing the important work of both preventing and addressing the overwhelming impact of this public health crisis, through practical solutions, in our state.

Together, we'll help create a safer South Carolina.
Join our efforts by donating!

Our Focus Areas

1

Education + Prevention

Imagine a public service announcement that could help prevent gun theft from cars (a HUGE source of guns later used in crimes). Or the teaching of safe storage practices that saves the lives of countless children.

Across our state, education and awareness plays a crucial role in preventing gun violence.

Victim Support Services

Families across SC struggle with the physical and emotional aftermath of gun violence.

From much-needed trauma therapy to programs that help families navigate challenges their loved ones now face, victims and their families often need help navigating their new lives.

3

Violence Intervention

According to several chiefs of police in SC, one solution has REDUCED gun deaths over the past year: mentor programs.

Reaching children and young adults in areas most impacted by gun violence and interrupting the cycle of violence through

community investment is crucial.
